Our church
Safeguarding
Everyone who comes to Llanishen Evangelical Church should be safe here — children, young people and adults alike. This page says how we work at that, and who to speak to.
Our commitment
We are committed to the care and protection of all who are part of our church family, and of everyone who uses our building. Safeguarding is the responsibility of the whole church, not just those with named roles.
How we work
- All those working with children, young people or vulnerable adults have an enhanced DBS check.
- Our leaders and volunteers complete safeguarding training and refresh it regularly.
- Activities are run by at least two adults, with registers kept for children’s groups.
- Our policy is reviewed each year by the elders and adopted at the church meeting.
If you have a concern
Please tell our safeguarding officer straight away — you do not need to be certain, and you will be taken seriously. If a child or adult is in immediate danger, call 999. You can also contact Cardiff Council children’s services or the NSPCC helpline directly.
Data and privacy
We keep only the records we need, store them securely, and follow UK data protection law. Our privacy notice explains what we hold and for how long.
Speak to our safeguarding officer: name here — safeguarding@llec.org.uk. In an emergency call 999.
